I remember when Select was located in a tiny winding lane off MG Road and one entered a small cottage where they would be a cat or two sleeping on a pile of books and a kettle on the boil. I have been dropping at Select from the days when the bookshop was located in a tiny lane that led into a cul de sac on MG road. A couple of AngloIndian cottage and Mr Murthy's little cottage with a cat sleeping on a pile of books and a kettle on for a cup of tea in the corner.
